Established in July of 2022, Parallel recently finished our second year as a leading national practice management platform supporting ENT, allergy and audiology practices. As we approach the end of 2024, Parallel is proudly supporting 100 providers and 459 employees in 25 locations across five states. Our teams are looking forward to the future by leveraging the successes of 2024. Below is Parallel’s 2024 Year in Review.

New Practice Partnership: Allergy and Asthma Associates of Michigan
Parallel is thrilled to welcome Allergy and Asthma Associates of Michigan as a supported practice. Founded in 1990, Allergy and Asthma Associates of Michigan specializes in the diagnosis and management of asthma, allergy, sinus and immune conditions, including:
- Allergic rhinitis
- Sinusitis
- Atopic dermatitis
- Food allergies
- Drug allergies
- Anaphylaxis
- Conjunctivas
- Primary immune deficiencies
- Many other allergic conditions
Allergy and Asthma Associates of Michigan is a high-volume allergy/asthma practice with strong support from mid-levels. The practice has three locations: Royal Oak, Sterling Heights and Livonia Michigan. Each offers skin and patch testing, rhinoscopy, pulmonary function testing, allergen immunotherapy and anti-IgE (Xolair) injections onsite. The practice’s board-certified physicians are on staff at Corewell Health William Beaumont Hospitals in Royal Oak and Troy, Michigan.
Practice Growth — New Locations, Providers and a New EMR
Parallel’s commitment to organic growth for supported practices has never been more evident than in 2024. These are just some of the ways our partner practices have experienced organic growth:
Five new locations were opened:
- Second-floor expansion at Ear Institute of Texas
- Greenville location at ENT & Allergy of Delaware
- Allendale location at Grand Rapids Ear, Nose & Throat
- Caledonia location at Michigan ENT & Allergy Specialists
- Muskegon location at Michigan ENT & Allergy Specialists
20 new providers joined:
- Seven new physicians across two practices
- Three new mid-levels across two practices
- Eight new audiologists across five practices
- Two speech language pathologists in one practice
A new electronic medical records (EMR) system was launched at ENT & Allergy of Delaware, including a new patient portal, online bill pay and online scheduling.
In addition, 2024 is the most awarded year for our partner physicians:
- For the first time, every physician at Head & Neck Surgery of Kansas City was named a Castle Connolly Top Doctor.
- Every physician at the Ear Institute of Texas earned a peer nomination as “Best of 2024” locally by Scene in S.A.
- All three female physicians at the practice have been named “Outstanding Women in Medicine” by Scene in S.A.
- Additionally, three physicians earned national recognition as 2024 Castle Connolly Top Doctors.
- 18 physicians at ENT & Allergy of Delaware earned national recognition as 2024 Castle Connolly Top Doctors.
- Seven physicians at ENT & Allergy of Delaware earned recognition as 2024 Delaware Today Top Doctors
- Four earned local peer recognition as 2024 Top Doctors by Philadelphia Magazine.
- Additionally, Dr. Michael Teixido was this year’s American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery Governors Practitioner of Excellence awardee.
- Three physicians at Grand Rapids Ear, Nose & Throat earned national recognition as 2024 Castle Connolly Top Doctors and six were named Top Doctors locally by Grand Rapids Magazine.
- Three physicians at Michigan ENT & Allergy Specialists have been named Top Doctors by Grand Rapids Magazine.
- Additionally, board-certified Physician Assistant Cutler Ludington was awarded the 2024 Michigan Academy of Physician Associates award for PA of the Year.
Improved Practice Management Capabilities
Parallel supported practice benefitted with increased savings from our new/updated group purchasing plans for both medical supplies and audiology.
From a reputation management perspective, supported physicians and practice locations benefitted from our reputation management platform with aggregate star increases across the network. In addition, the visibility of physicians and locations increased as review volume grew across internet properties from Google to Healthgrades, Vitals and WebMD. Digital presence was further improved with live streaming reviews on all provider and location website pages.

Additional Highlights of 2024
This year, we grew as a collaborative and cohesive team across disciplines and practices. We were thrilled to connect and share a meal at the 2024 American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery Annual Meeting in Miami, Florida.
Finally, practice leader Joseph Taylor, M.D. of Grand Rapids Ear, Nose & Throat reminded us why we join together — because we all care about the work and the patient.
